InventHelp Inventor Develops Tool to Clear a Surgical Drain Tube (NPL-469)
PITTSBURGH, Dec. 4, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- "I thought there could be a better way to strip or clear a surgical drain tube when it is blocked by a clot or other obstruction," said an inventor, from Naples, Fla., "so I invented the SURGICAL TUBE STRAINER. My design would make this common post-surgical patient care task easier and more sanitary for hospital staff, home care providers, and patients."
The patent-pending invention provides an easier way to clear clogs/occlusions from surgical drains. In doing so, it eliminates the need to squeeze the tube with one's fingers. As a result, it increases sanitation and it saves time and effort. The invention features an effective design that is easy to use so it is ideal for medical facilities, caregivers and patients. Additionally, it is producible in design variations and a prototype model is available upon request.
The original design was submitted to the Naples sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
